Welcome to From the Heart Yoga

Yoga has a long and rich history emerging from India over 5,000 years ago.  It is a practice that incorporates physical poses with breathing and meditation techniques.  Almost 18 million Americans practice yoga for its potential health benefits for the body and mind.

  •  Reduce stress and tension.  Yoga can reduce our stress hormone levels and lower our blood pressure and heart rate.  It can also help relieve the symptoms of anxiety, depression, fatigue, and insomnia.    

  •  Gain strength and endurance.  The yoga poses are designed to use our body weight as resistance to tone and strengthen the body from head to toe.  Yoga can help burn off extra calories and change the habits and patterns we have in relation to our health and well-being.

  •  Improve flexibility and balance.  It’s okay if touching our toes is challenging.  Overtime, our muscles, tendons, and ligaments begin to lengthen, our range of movement increases, our coordination improves, and those aches and pains may be reduced.
